Pappasito's Cantina:
Pappasito's Cantina, a Tex-Mex favorite, has been voted "Number One Mexican Restaurant" repeatedly in publications across Texas. The look of a border town cantina, the feel of a fiesta and sizzling platters of the tastiest fajitas and margaritas this side of the Rio Grande bring our Guests back again and again.
Our menu features traditional Tex-Mex items including nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, tacos and tamales along with some great delicious signature dishes like our own beef and chicken fajitas, tender pork ribs, mesquite-grilled quail and shrimp diablo. !Muy delicioso!

Truly the best fajitas

Posted byQueenB77on 1/12/2009

Authentic mexican food, acceptably priced, relaxing, friendly atmosphere. They make their flour tortillas fresh, the drinks are strong, and the fajitas are so tender and filling. This place is a gem!

Worth the wait!

My husband and I have eaten at both restaurants several times. Since these are the only locations in the Austin area, we've had to wait to be seated each time. But the food and service has made up for it. During our last visit to Pappadeaux, we had the Crispy Fried Alligator appetizer and shared the Seafood Platter. I tried the Swamp Thing drink for the first time and really enjoyed it. At Pappasito's, we love their Table-Side Guacamole! We enjoy their Tex-Mex Combination plates. During our last visit, we had the Quail there for the first time and it was delicious! Both restaurants serve great food and the portions are generous. The only complaint I have is that there should be more locations in this area of both restaurants.
